Uncompressed image is served when original is the same width as Webflow variant

Uploading an 800px image that is 10mb currently serves:
Original 800px: 10mb
Variant 500px: 100kb

2858×1566 1.6 MB

Is it possible to automatically create a same width variant? i.e.
Uploading an 800px image that is 10mb would serve:
Variant 800px: 150kb
Variant 500px: 100kb
