SVG thumbnails are not displaying in asset manager

Hi Guys,

I’m having a strange issue with SVG assets that I haven’t been able to find info on.

One one computer they look (correctly) like this:

But on another, they look like this:

All .jpg assets are fine - just the SVGs seem not to have uploaded correctly. I tried restoring to a backup that was created on the correctly working computer - but still, nothing. I figured I could upload them all again but before doing that I thought I’d come here to see if this might be a bug.

Any ideas?

Hi @craig-mrare, sorry for the trouble with this - we’re looking into it now. Can you please send me:
(1) the exact browser version where the svg thumbnails are not displaying correctly?
(2) a link to your site so I can take a look at the svg files

Thanks in advance!

Also if you are running a ad blocker disabling that might help. Ive had issues with svg and ad blockers before.

Thanks Dave,

(1) It’s happening consistently across most browsers (and devices for that matter, I’m seeing the same behaviour on my ipad and iphone) and I saw the same behaviour on Firefox, Safari and Chrome on my Mac, so I’m not sure version numbers will help but here’s my chrome one where I originally uploaded the files from: 47.0.2526.106

(2) Here is the link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/hive-restaurant?preview=2b38f2abc2156da89ca6ef3475217504

Also, I don’t have any Adblock, so this shouldn’t be causing any issues.

Thanks again

Hi @craig-mrare, Thanks for the info! This may be due to your chrome version.

Can you please update your Chrome browser to the latest version and try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode: Browse in private - Computer - Google Chrome Help

If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console and send it to me: Chrome DevTools - Chrome Developers

Thanks! hopefully this is an easy fix (I’m not able to reproduce the error on my end.)

I updated my Chrome to 49.0.2623.87 and the issue still presists (also in incognito mode).

The console is also empty - no errors or anything.

As I mentioned, the issue also seems the same on my ipad, iphone and any other computer I attempt to access it from. Could it be an issue with the uploading of the files in the first place?

UPDATE: I just uploaded another .jpg image and all the SVGs suddenly appeared normally in the designer view. I’m feeling like this is a bug…

@craig-mrare this is pretty strange - can you please send me a copy of the file you’re uploading so I can take a closer look?
