Superscript Trademark and SEO H1 Headings/Body question

I’ve built a web page for a client that uses superscript (‘TM’) in the product H1 and body copy throughout the page. However, when they search for their product via a search engine they get no results unless the TM is added. For example, search for ‘Product’ gives no results, but searching for ‘ProductTM’ works fine.

So, how would you tackle this in regards to writing H1 headlines, body copy etc?

I’ve not seen official Google guidance for this, however there are some good articles on it.
I follow these rules in general;

  1. Use symbols, not text, e.g. ™ ® and not TM and (R)
  2. Avoid in page titles and headings where possible
  3. Where needed, add a space before to separate the word for discoverability
