Status of published collection item remains: Staged Changes

Hi Webflow,

In a website I made for a client of mine I found a little bug in the editor. I have an item which keeps the status of ‘Staged Changes’ even after ‘publishing’ and also if i don’t make any changes on the collection item.

Thanks for posting about this! I just manually pushed a fix to your site that should solve this issue.

Can you please perform a refresh (CMD+SHFT+R, CTRL on windows) and check if everything is working as expected?

Thanks for your reply.

When I edit something on the collection item and publish it. The status changes to ‘Published’. But after I refresh or go into editor modus, the item is again in ‘staged changes’ mode. So unfortunately this fix did not do the trick.

This definitely sounds like strange behavior - I’m looking into it now with our team. However, I am unable to reproduce this issue.

Are you seeing this occur on multiple sites? When did it start occurring?

Can you please try the following:
(1) Try to reproduce the error while being logged into Webflow using Incognito mode with browser extensions turned off: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464?hl=en
(2) If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of your Console while in the Editor and send it to me: https://developer.chrome.com/devtools/docs/console

I have notified the team of this issue and we are hoping to have this resolved soon.

Does this also undo the changes you published? Or do the changes remain published while the editor displays the wrong status?

Hi @Brando ,

No it does not undo the changes. The changed content will be modified after I publish it. So it does not affect the content. Only the status stays on 'staged published. It looks like something is corrupt with that item.

I have not tried to delete the item and add it again. If you want I can do that.

Yes if it is only happening to one collection item, can you please try to delete it and add it again to see if it resolves the issue?
