At this time, most phones don’t allow background videos to be played. But there is a workaround that I found on the forums for you:

But just recently WF staff pushed a fix which made playsinline a default video attribute and the videos were playing just fine on mobiles.

Great point, @dram, and I was able to note the completed update occurred approximately 2 weeks ago:

Why Webflow is still not adding "playsinline" option to video background?

New! We reconsidered. Sites with background video component should now publish the video tag with the playsinline attribute. [image]

@yvo010 - I was able to complete a test using Browserstack.com and noted that the background video works on iPhone X using Safari: Image 2018-11-01 at 1.39.07 PM

Would you be able to note the phone/browser that is being used?
