Smooth scroll setting will soon respect user preference

Hey folks, in a few weeks we’ll be shipping an update that honors a site visitor’s system or browser preferences around excessive motion in on-page smooth-scrolling defaults.

We originally shipped this in the first week of January but had to revert it due to unexpected Windows settings and an offset bug. Now we’re giving you a heads up on this change, and we’ve clearly documented the system settings. This should help you experience the sites you’re building in an expected way.

You can read about the update here, or learn more about this setting in our University article.

If you have any questions about this feature or feedback for Webflow’s accessibility team, you can post here! And if you have any accessibility-related feature requests, we’d encourage you to post them in the accessibility category of the Webflow Wishlist.
