Slider acting weirdly

Hi guys,
I’m trying to build a simple slider. I only have two sections in my layout. One is a top menu set to fixed because I want it to stay on top of the page, the other section contains my slider. Now, everything acts normally until I put the first image inside the slider. After this, when I scroll down, the image in the slider hides the menu. It looks really weird. I attached a screenshot.

Can anyone help?

Try giving the section of the nav a high position z-index.
This will position the nav on top of other layers.
