Did you update your site SEO recently? I would suggest using Google WebDeveloper Tools: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home which will allow you to add recent sitemap.xml and force Google to recrawl your website. Please keep in mind Google doesn’t index sites that often, but the Google WebDev Tools are a great way of getting your site indexed properly.
It was a couple of days ago that I made the update to my pages SEO setting. Good is showing it crawled a couple days ago as well, but I’m not sure if that was before or after I made the updates.
With that said, I went ahead and updated the xml using the Google WebDeveloper Tools…what would you say is a reasonable amount of time to let things work out before I give you guys a heads up on it one way or the other?
It usually takes 7-14 days for a search engine to recrawl the website, but once you force Google to recrawl your website you can check results on Google WebDev Tools and by typing site:flowglobemedia.com into google search. That will show you all results with for domain.
Thanks for the reply. I’m still seeing the same. I’m going to make a few tweaks to my site and then resubmit the sitemap early next week. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Hi @nathanphilsteele, I took a quick peek at the site, on the page that is linked to the Thinking menu item, and the SEO meta title info appears to be correctly published.
I did notice however that there are script errors on the page, and this might be affecting to google’s ability to properly crawl the page, it is something to look at:
Both of those errors are form the Sharethis social share widget. The one error with the https issue I believe I fixed. The other error I’m not so sure about.
why would those interfere with the seo working correctly?
what is that tool that you are using to find out the errors.
Honestly, I feel like there is a little more to it then what those errors could be.
Also, the other widget I have installed is Discus.
Additionally, I tried doing a search through the source to find “Designed by.” Maybe you have a tool that can do a better job finding that ?
I added those widgets only a few days ago, so something else is going on. I you look at the screenshot from bart, you will see “Designed by” in the page view So, something else is going on.
It appears that this is something that truly needs to be looked into from the backend to see what is happening.
It’s beginning to update—this could be a Google waiting issue and not a Webflow issue. For instance, the About page has now been updated by Google and no longer displays Designed by.
These things really can take a week or two to really propagate through Google’s system.
