I have changed the SEO description of my site for more than 5 days now and the description of my site is still not displaying properly on google search. Am I missing something? Many thanks in advance!
This is what shows up on Google when I search my site’s name “leasehackr”:

Did you publish your changes to the webflow sub-domain or your custom domain? Also did you turn off search engine index of your webflow sub-domain?
I mention this because when I search your business name I get both domains. The custom domain has your old description. The Webflow sub-domain has the updated description.

Thank you for your response. I published my content on my custom domain and have long unpublished from my webflow subdomain. It is strange that leasehackr.webflow.io still shows up on Google search.
I actually have never put any descriptions for my webflow subdomain or on my custom domain until about 5 days ago, which is the text you see in the screenshots above. I am not sure where my webflow subdomain gets its description from (no the description for the Webflow subdomain is not my current site’s description) and I don’t seem to be able to update my SEO for my custom domain.

I have taken a look at your code and your description has neen updated. So it is a matter of waiting for Google to update its information. This can unfortunetly take weeks.
Have you submitted your site to Webmaster tools? This is a good way to try and seed up indexing.

Hi @littleviolette, thanks for the post. As @AlexN mentioned, it can take some time before SEO title, descriptions and keywords are shown in Google search results.
You can prevent the webflow.io sub-domain from getting indexed, if you disable this from the SEO tab of your site setttings. Look on the Miscellaneous section and the toggle to enable or disable the index as shown below:
I too, would recommend to use Google Webmaster Tools to submit your site to Google. If you have not already done so, I would also create a sitemap for your site and submit that in Google Webmaster Tools.
To generate a sitemap for your site, first go to a service such as https://www.xml-sitemaps.com and generate the sitemap xml.
Next go to your site settings page and click on the SEO tab. There you can paste the contents of the sitemap.xml into the sitemap.xml field and click Generate sitemap.
After generating a sitemap, you can then go to Google Webmaster Tools and submit your site map using your domain name, such as: leasehacker.com - This website is for sale! - car lease deals Resources and Information..

Thank you very much for your help! I have set up the Webmaster tools and the sitemap as instructed, although I am still not seeing the correct description displayed. I guess I will have to revisit it in a few weeks…
On a side note, it would be really helpful for future users if Webflow could create an instruction ir blog post on the SEO setup if it hasn’t already!
