Hello all,
I currently have a site on Webflow, and need to do extensive work to update it. I’d prefer not to do it on the “live” site, but perhaps duplicate the entire site and make the changes there, and then easily replace the live site once approved by the client. Is there an easy way to do this?
Also, does duplicating a site also copy over all settings for e-commerce, including payment setups, existing orders, etc? If more orders come in on the live site while I’m working on the duplicate site, does the duplicate see these? Is e-commerce a separate system?
I read somewhere that in order to do this, I would have to “cancel” hosting for the current live site, and then activate a new hosting account for the duplicate site and point the URL to that one. But that seems rather cumbersome and potentially rife with issues, especially concerning a site that has an active e-commerce.
Any advice or insight would be helpful.
