Hello.
I am redesigning a WordPress site (https://weareccfm.com/) for a client and am looking to use Webflow instead of WordPress. The client runs farmers’ markets, and one of the main purposes of the site is to tell everyone the time/location of the various markets, most of which happen weekly. The current site uses the Events Manager (https://eventsmanagerpro.com/) WordPress plugin to manage this. The markets can then be scheduled and their details displayed on a calendar or as their own web pages (plus many other formats). Is there something similar available for Webflow? I’ve seen a few rather complex, expensive options, but all I need is a calendar of events (most of which recur weekly) and the ability to display the dates of the next few upcoming events. The events are not ticketed. Any idea how I could achieve this? Suggestions and thoughts would be most welcome! (And the client only has a small budget).
Thanks in advance,
Paul
Hey Paul,
For something simple & budget-friendly with recurring events in Webflow, look into these options:
- Third-party widgets
If you want to skip the custom build, there are embed-ready calendars you can drop into a Webflow page. One example is the Elfsight Event Calendar for Webflow. It lets you:
-
Add one-time or recurring events in a few clicks
-
Show upcoming events in list, grid, masonry, or slider layouts
-
Include location maps and let visitors add events to their own Google/Apple/Outlook calendars
-
Hide extra details if you want to keep it minimal
It’s not built for ticketing, so it stays lightweight, and you can tweak colors/fonts to match the site.
- Google Calendar Embed
If the budget is really tight, embedding a public Google Calendar is the free option. It’s not as pretty and styling is limited, but it’s easy for a client to manage and handles recurring events well.
So in short, if you want the quickest setup with recurring events and a cleaner look, go with a widget like Elfsight; and if free trumps looks, Google Calendar works fine.
Cheers,
