Shopify Custom Cart editable in Webflow

Hi Everyone,

Today I wanted to show you a way to customize a Shopify cart right inside Webflow.
The ultimate objective would be to have an e-commerce Boilerplate that everyone could use and customize like they want.

Demo:

Read-only:

Any feedback or ideas to make this “starter template” better would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

Hi @philippe.
Nice looking cart design! I noticed you’re using “foxy” in the webflow url. Maybe that’s just coincidence, but I wanted to chime in and say “hey”.

For what it’s worth, with Foxy, you can design your own full page cart, checkout page, and receipt pages in Webflow and then connect them to your Foxy store. We’re working on a way for Webflow users to have full design control of all template elements in Webflow.

If you’re interested in trying out Foxy with Webflow, definitely check out this page.

Thanks,
Josh

@foxy any suggestions for info on customizing ones own in page (1 page site) “view cart” slide out? in my case id prefer slide up… over scrolling window of all product (small rug samples). I’ve been following the tut on multi product cms webflow… signed… cms set… new to all this so kinda gets fuzzy

tx!

Love the hustle Josh!

Can I set up recurring/subscription payments with Foxy?

@ROOSTER The sidecart can be customized, though this will require custom css/js. So unfortunately, there’s not a toggle option in the admin to change the sidecart look and behavior. Of course, we’re more than happy to provide guidance on styling things if needed.

That said, if you’re doing a one-page site, it may make more sense to skip the cart entirely and take the customer straight to the checkout page, removing extra clicks. Let me know if you have any follow up questions.

@finlayconn Yes, you sure can. In fact, we use our own subscription functionality to bill thousands of users each month. You setup pre-configured subscription options or allow the customer to customize as needed: start date, end date, frequency, etc.

Also, you can do free trials, along with bundling subscription and non-subscription products together (ie: require a one-time setup fee and then charge $20/mo thereafter).

Subscription based products can be built with Webflow’s CMS, form builder, dropdown element, button/link element, or html embed. Here’s a nice clean example: http://theproteinballco.com/protein-ball-taster-box-subscription

Feel free to send over more information about what you’re after and I’ll put together a demo.

Thanks,
Josh

@foxy my goal is a section of samples that clients can browse through and add to their cart… with the op to view a slide cart if needed.

in “STORE” section… love to just have a little quarter height cart slider from the bottom of the
“STORE” window for client to check what samples they have added.

appreciate the info for sure!

Hey @ROOSTER
Thanks for sending more info and great looking site! You have full access to customize the sidecart to your liking. You can learn more here.

You can even build out your own slide in/popup cart using JSON and Webflow’s interactions. Let us know and we can get you more info.

Thanks,
Josh
