Quick domain connect bug

Hey everyone, I recently connected a domain using Quick Connect - Entri - and experienced something funky. My DNS took longer than normal to propagate, we’re talking 3 days and the error message remained the same “wait for DNS propagation” so I had no indicator of what it was.

It was this : It inputted another website’s TXT verification in addition to what was really mine, so it was conflicted. There was no error that indicated that so it had me waiting a bunch of days for no reason.

I’m not going to recreate this but that’s how the experience went. I did not touch my DNS, it’s all brand new and was set up by our provider but it created two verifications for some reason. I’ve done this many times and this was the first I experienced this. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to anybody else.

Hi there,

When setting up Quick Connect domains, duplicate TXT verification records can indeed cause verification delays. To resolve this issue:

The first step is to check your DNS records through your domain provider’s control panel. Look for any duplicate Webflow verification TXT records and remove all but the most recent one. After cleaning up the duplicate records, allow 24-48 hours for the DNS changes to fully propagate across all servers.

For faster verification, you can use DNS lookup tools like DNSChecker.org to confirm when your changes have propagated and verify that only one Webflow TXT record exists.

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
