Please don’t crucify me for asking what could be quite a simple thing to the most of you I’m a complete noob when it comes to Webflow and can’t find the solution anywhere.
So… I purchased a CMS site and then a template. That template is now designated as a ‘Free site’ instead of being nested under a paid ‘CMS site’. As far as I can see, there’s no way to move it.
I contacted support days ago about this, but still no reply. Do you guys know a solution that I can apply to move the template from the free site to the paid CMS?
Hello Boris and thank you for sharing your problem, same situation here, would you mind to be a bit more precise about that transferring the paid plan under section Billing?
@Layra in Webflow templates are a starting point for building a new site, with pre-defined styling and layouts that you can use freely.
They are not a separate design system that you layer on top of an existing site- as in the WP model.
If you have an existing site, and you’re trying to restyle it, one approach is to rebuild it on your new template, transfer over CMS, etc. and then transfer the hosting plan-
A different approach is to redesign your existing live site by bringing in design components piecemeal from the template. It requires slightly more familiarity with Webflow, but results in less interruption and gives you more time to transition your designs.
