On my blog post pages I have images in the blog post excerpt where I write all of the text but the images are not populating when I go to view the live site, I can only see it in CMS mode. Help!

Hello, my photos in my blog posts are not showing up on the live site and only on CMS editor that’s it. I need to be able to showcase the photos in my blog post.

Hey Benjamin-

Left is your designer view, right is your published site view. Not sure what images you’re missing, you might need to use video / screenshots to explain your problem more fully so that the community can assist.

You can see the difference when in CMS mode. That is where you can see my photos within the Rich Text Block in the blog post.

Here is a link to a screen recording to show what I’m talking about, and thank you very much for your swift response!

Video to showcase the issue

Got it, first you need to make certain to publish changes on your CMS items, in the video you can see it’s “draft changes” on that particular CMS item.

However that’s not the main issue, and I’ve been encountering this designer bug over the past 2 days- good to see it’s not just me.

Certain edit / publish operations seem to unbind the Rich text element from the CMS, so what you’re seeing as content there isn’t CMS content at all.

You can re-bind it easily. Please file this with a support ticket- and if you can figure out exactly what operation causes the unbinding, even better.

I submit a support ticket and am awaiting email correspondence. I don’t expect a prompt reply but I’ve only been using WebFlow about 3 days and don’t know much about them. So far I like the UI/UX but this bug NOT COOL.

So is there something I can do to bind these two back together in the template so that it doesn’t happen again? OR is this something that only Webflow can rebind?

Hoping that we can figure out what caused unbinding, I’ll be sure to share their response

Easy as, click the little purple dot at #2 in my image and bind it.

I have no information on the bug, it’s very new, and you’re the first one I’ve seen besides me that’s experienced element unbinding. I don’t know which system is involved. WF is quick at fixing issues like this however.
