Lightbox is showing duplicate images when updating a new image

I am updating images for a client’s site and when I do, the original image is still visible in the lightbox gallery. Essentially, it’s creating a duplicate image in the gallery and keeping it’s caption. However, in the designer, there are no duplicate images…

Has anyone else had this problem / does anyone have a solution?

Thanks!

I’ve run into this bug before as well. The only solution I was able to find was to delete and rebuild the lightbox elements.

Had the same issue here.

It seems to happen when a lightbox which already has a thumbnail and content populated, is copied and then edited.

@theecarls’ Solution works.

Same issue. very annoying bug.

Same issue.
Agree: Annoying bug.

The first time deleting the lightbox element did help.
For now even deleting the whole collection doesn’t work.
Sometimes it just doubles the thumbnails an sometimes it not only double it also adds more thumbnails.

How to solve this?

I found out, that the Library SplideJS conflicts with the Webflow Lightbox. If you use type: ‘loop’ then SplideJS preloads images which appear then in the Lightbox Thumbnails.
Coudn’t find out a workaround yet.
