Lab tests and expert reviews for 200+ dog foods - Powered by Webflow!

Hi everybody,

We just launched Watchdog Labs - build 100% in Webflow (with lots of love and lots of custom code)

:point_right: Watchdog is a free resource for all pet owners. We buy dog food online, test it in certified labs and go full nerd on reviews. the result are simple scores to help people find great dog food (cat food coming soon!).

So first of all, thank you all! We would LOVE to hear your feedback and opinions and really appreciate what an amazingly helpful community Webflow is. We couldn’t have done it without this forum and amazing platform!

Thank you,
Simon

@finlayconn Thank you so much, that really means a lot

Do you have a dog? Would love to hear what your Watchdog Score is! :dog:

Hi @webdes,

There’s a couple of things you might want to have a look at :

  • the mouse doesn’t change when going over the “Be a hero” CTAs (both the fixed one at the bottom of the page and the one in the middle of the home page too). You’ll want to have the mouse behaving like a with a normal link or people might not click

  • both the “dry food” and “wet food” links in the header menu are always in blue, which is confusing as it looks like they are both in “active” state

Other than that, it’s a great website ! I love the illustrations, they’re funny and beautiful, well done !!!

Oh, and how did you manage the sorting feature in the wet and dry foods sections ??? This is just fantastic !!! I have been looking for something like that for a while…

Anyway, all in all, it’s a fantastic job you did here !

Hi @Pasint thank you for the feedback!

The “Be a Hero” button is managed by an app called viral-loops.com. We’re working with them to improve that cursor…

Fixed the dry and wet in header to make it simpler.

Thanks
