I’m having issues with search console not to fetch my sitemap. Been reading on other threads in here with similar issues, but I’ve tried them all and nothing works.
I have tested all settings in Webflow, switching off and on, republishing etc
Also tested with double dash and non-www and www.
The sitemap is reachable but Google won’t crawl it. Never had this issue before.
Seems to be working fine if I add / to the end of the URL in search console. How do I solve this?

It looks like Google Search Console might be having trouble fetching the sitemap because it treats URLs with and without a trailing slash differently. Sometimes submitting the sitemap with the trailing slash helps. Have you tried that yet?

Yes, search console will accept the sitemap if I add a slash in the end. I guess that this would be a workwround but not perfect. Any idea on how to solve this without adding a slash?

Webflow serves the sitemap with a trailing slash as the final URL. Google search Console doesn’t accept sitemap URLs that redirect, so it only works when we submit the exact resolved version. THis is expected behavior and fully supported by Google - it doesn’t affect SEO or indexing.
