Issue with setting up CNAME Values for DKIM Mandrill-Mailchimp setup

type or paste code here

Hello Webflow Community,

I’m running into an issue while trying to set up DKIM authentication for our domain. I’ve reviewed the guide “Set the root domain as the default domain on SSL hosting” in the Help Center, but I’m encountering a specific limitation.

Our situation:

  • Domain registrar: Eclipse Broadband
  • Need to create DKIM records for Mandrill email authentication
  • Trying to create two CNAME records with custom values

The problem: When attempting to create the required CNAME records in Webflow’s publishing and domain settings:

  1. I can enter the record name (e.g., mte1._domainkey.oneplusone.org.uk)
  2. However, when I try to set the value (dkim1.mandrillapp.com), the system automatically defaults to a Webflow domain and doesn’t allow custom values
3.Our domain register Eclipse doesn’t provide DNS management tools in their portal to modify this

Has anyone encountered this situation before? I need to create two specific CNAME records for DKIM:

Any guidance on how to proceed with this setup when using Eclipse as the registrar would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Hi there,

When your DNS provider doesn’t offer management tools, you can use Cloudflare to manage your DNS records. Simply point your domain nameservers (NS records) to Cloudflare, which will give you full control over creating and managing all types of DNS records. You can find detailed instructions for setting this up in our documentation here: https://help.webflow.com/hc/en-us/articles/33961315914515

Hopefully this helps! If you still need assistance, please reply here so somebody from the community can help.
