My client is using an Australian DNS hosting service and this is what their support person said:
As for the CNAME record, the provided one, unfortunately, will not work with our DNS hosting as it’ll append the domain name onto the end of each CNAME record, so www proxy-ssl.webflow.com would end up as “www proxy-ssl.webflow.comtofrostudio.com” which is an invalid record.
Looking at the support documentation for web flow, it’s not clear what their workaround for this is. You may need to reach out to them and see if they support another form of CNAME records.
