How to make the root domain to be default in webflow?

Hello,

I need to link custom domain to a webflow project.
I found a lot info in the forum, but the solutions always said the same- make the subdomain (www.your site.com) default in webflow.

The problem is that a SEO company wants the root domain to be default - when we type in a browser variants of the url (with or without www.) - all to lead to htttps://yoursite.com. (So i think we need to redirect everything to the root somehow…)

When I set the root domain to be default in webflow - all I get is a redirect loop.
As long as I understand - we need our root domain to work with SSL hosting - for that we need hosting provider that allows C Name Flattening. In our providers setting we can have only one C Name…They said the problem is not on their side, so we’ve tried to use Cloudflare and follow Webflow steps (their video, and page

…and the problem still exists - we couldn’t add C Name in Cloudflare for the root directory (@) , if a C Name for the www.domain.com was added before that

Is that something that we’re missing or mistaken?
Is there any chance to solve this, and the site to show always on the root domain?

I’m not certain what this means.

Double-check Webflow’s setup instructions for the flattened CNAME configuration, most likely you still have your @ A records in place, which would conflict with your @ CNAME.

Thank you for the response!
We double checked for A records but there were none.
It seems that the problem was some leftovers from the old Wordpress hosting. Everything is fine, after we removed them.

It can take up to 48 hours for DNS changes to propogate.
Looks like you’ve got it-
