The Webflow emailed form has [Webflow Form] in the Subject. How can I get rid of this? (Or does this only appear when the site is not hosted? I’murrently building the site and it’s not hosted yet).
About Screenshoot: testing on your Webflow.io staging site
About Screenshoot: When you publish your site to your **custom domain
**
When you get emails with a subject like:
[Webflow Form] New submission from Contact Form
…it means your form submissions are being sent through Webflow’s built-in form handling, not your custom domain yet.
This happens when:
-
Your site is not yet published to a custom domain, and
-
You’re testing on your Webflow.io staging site (e.g.,
mysite.webflow.io).
Webflow adds the [Webflow Form] tag automatically to make it clear the email came from their server — not your domain.
It’s completely normal during development.
Hey @Marnix_Garner ,
I believe you won’t see that once you set the site on a custom domain as also found in this thread.
Hey @Marnix_Garner ,
I tested form submissions on two sites. The version without a custom domain included “[Webflow Form]” in the email subject line, while the version with a custom domain did not.
