I have built a website for a client and it includes a contact form. How do I disassociate the form fields from my Webflow’s form notification settings?
In a nutshell, what I would like to see is when the form is filled out and submitted, the email generated will be forwarded to my client’s email address without any Webflow branding.
Thanks for your help!
Great question! What you’ll need to do is change the email notification setting. For more information on this, please refer to this article: http://help.webflow.com/elements/forms#notification-settings
Also, to “unbrand” the email, you’ll need to have as Professional plan subscription.
Unbranded forms allow you to receive form submission notifications from a general email address (email@example.com) instead of the Webflow email address (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Hope this helps
@PixelGeek I have a follow up question. It appears that the suggestion you made does not disassociate the contact form from my account, but only creates a forwarding mechanism for the email. I do understand that Webflow is giving the CMS support for that feature, but there’s gotta be a way for me to design sites for clients but not be stuck with CMS related features on my account.
Thank you in advance!
Hi @Infimorus, thanks for the followup and sorry for the late reply !
You can connect your form to point to any third party mail service, like mailchimp, or you can point to your own mail script if you are hosting that yourself.
Take a peek at this article on working with exported forms: http://help.webflow.com/elements/forms#exported-forms
Let me know if that helps ! Cheers, Dave
