Google Analytics Only Tracking Homepage Views

I just published my first site to a custom domain on Webflow two days ago but I am having some issues with the Google Analytics integration. It seems to only be tracking traffic to the home page of the site. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know how to fix it?

I have tried going on multiple devices and using VPNs and it doesn’t track traffic to any other page besides the home page under the Pages and Screens section of Google Analytics. Even the realtime view doesn’t show the user once you click off the home page. Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.

Hi @liam12,

Welcome to the forum!

Just checking, you’ve added the Google Analytics code in Project Settings > Integrations > Google Analytics? Or is it added to Project Settings > Custom Code? Or Page Settings > Custom Code?

It would be great if you could provide the published site URL for testing.

Cheers

Hi @mww

I did have the tracking ID added under Project Settings > Integrations > Google Analytics, and global site tag is turned on.

The published site is https://www.yellowframechurch.com

If you’re only seeing traffic to the home page being tracked on Google Analytics, there could be a few different issues at play. Here are some things you can try:

  1. Check your Google Analytics setup: Make sure you’ve installed the Google Analytics tracking code on all pages of your site. If the code isn’t installed correctly, it won’t be able to track traffic to your other pages.
  2. Check your Webflow settings: Double-check your Webflow settings to make sure that all of your pages are set to be published and aren’t set to “draft” or “unpublished.” If a page is unpublished, Google Analytics won’t be able to track traffic to it.
  3. Check your Google Analytics filters: Make sure you don’t have any filters set up in Google Analytics that could be blocking traffic to your other pages.
  4. Wait a little longer: Sometimes it can take a few days for Google Analytics to start tracking traffic to all pages of your site, especially if you’ve recently made changes to your setup.

If none of these solutions work, you might want to reach out to the support team for additional help. Good luck, and I hope you’re able to get your Google Analytics tracking up and running smoothly!
