Fixed positioning not working: Dynamic CMS modal only opens within collection list item grid cell - inherits width/height from parent element

Hello!

I want to display a dynamic pop-up modal that displays details from an item in a Collection List grid.
The basics like cms data input are working, but the modal only appears within the cell it is activated from and does not overlay the whole viewport. It seems to ignore the “position: fixed” value. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It displays correctly in the Designer, somehow.

P.S It seems like this person has the same issue, but i cant replicate the solution unfortunately…

Position fixed breaks relative to parent after filter change on parent element

Hi @erikdana, thanks for getting back to me. I did take a look at the site and the trouble seems to be related to the hover state filter change in saturation applied to the “item” class. [45%20AM] I would remove the saturation filter on the item class (including the hover change) and instead add that to the foto equipe class. [33%20AM] Then, create a new div under the item class and call it Wrapper Div. Drag the modal overlay, the foto and the Pessoa overlay under the wrapper div. Next…
