Favicon... still having sizing issues

Hi! I have read through the threads talking about the issue with resizing an image for a favicon but I do not have illustrator or anything like that. I am working on a mac and have tried all ways to reduce the size but the message is still showing up saying that the image is not 32x32 or 256x256. How can I resolve this on a mac? Thanks!!

You got a transparent background, right?

I usually use Figma for this.
The frame has an export option where you can set both the 32w and the 256w at the same time, and export both at once.
