Favicon issues — not updating, displaying various images

Hi everyone,

I am building my first Webflow page and keep struggling with my Favicon, so I am hoping to pick some more experienced brains here for help.

  1. My Favicon image isn’t updating (not after updating it multiple times, nor after clearing cache);
  2. Currently the published site is displaying various Favicon images (e.g. ‘home’ has a different Favicon as ‘about’);
  3. When I publish the account to a ‘staging-url’, everything seems to work just fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t know, why browser cache clearing wasn’t working. Did you choose the third option here? (Directly translated from german it says: “Cache clear and hard reload”)

Try these steps to fix your favicon issue in Webflow: (1) Ensure you’ve uploaded the correct favicon in Site Settings > General and clicked Save before publishing. (2) Clear your browser cache or open the site in an incognito window to check for updates. (3) Verify that all pages reference the correct favicon by checking the Custom Code section for conflicting favicon links. (4) If issues persist, try re-uploading the favicon with a new filename to prevent caching conflicts. If the favicon updates fine on the staging URL but not on the live site, it may be a CDN caching delay—wait a bit or force-refresh using Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows) / Cmd + Shift + R (Mac).
