Enquire button that takes the cart items and sends a mail

I am creating a product showcase website and the client wants an enquire option instead of a checkout/buy option. I’m not much of a coder, and the site is on a CMS plan. I am using an Ecommerce template with the checkout disabled.

The two options I can think of:

  1. a tiny form inside of the cart with just an email address field and the enquire button. This would send the cart items and the contact info to the client similar to a Webflow form.

  2. Or a button in the cart, but one that has the mailto: function that pre-populates the email address, subject and the body (with the cart data). This will need the user to click on send in their native mail app.

Being not a coder, I need help with the custom code for the button. If it is possible, or is there any other work around?
