If you click the eye icon, it will take you to the element with the connection. Webflow wants you to disconnect the CMS at the element level.
Thank you for the reply Joseph. Now I know!
Unbelievable, so you are telling me that if I purchased a template where I have 5 CMS fields that I want to remove but they are each connected to 5-10 pages I have to do all of that manually?? It will literally take me 2 hours just to remove a couple of fields
You could likely export the entire collection as a CSV, empty that field, and re-import it as an update.
Here’s a more programmatic approach if you want to get more intensive. I haven’t checked it to see how it handles rate limiting.
Hello @memetican @Keling_Liu
Thanks for sharing the Webflow Collection De-referencer here.
It doesn’t handle rate-limiting as of yet! But I have tested the solution upto a 100 items. Will update the script to handle Webflow APIs rate-limiting
Guys, please feel free to mail me to help with de-referencing bulk cms items programatically. Or any support related to webflow. Glad to hep!
