Container height set to auto larger than necessary

Hi, I’m new to Webflow and I’m trying to get up to speed but I’m stumbling on some apparently simple things.
I have a container with its height set to auto, yet the container is always taller than it needs to be. I assumed that “auto” meant that the container would fit its contents but it doesn’t appear to be so. Thanks for any help.

Can you please share your project’s public link so it’s easier to understand your issue?

if you look at the white container that holds the image, it should only extend 10 px past the bottom of the carousel yet it’s always much bigger

You gave me the url of the published site, can you check my previous post carrefuly to produce the share url?

Because your image position is placed using position, but HTML still interpret its original position. So do your layout in another way, using a row widget for example, and your container won’t be fooled up.
