Collection List Filters

I simply cannot get my head around this one! :see_no_evil:

I’ve set my CMS Collection to include these fields:

But when it comes to filtering my CMS Collection, I only have these options:

How do I filter based on the Option fields I setup in that Collection?

The reason being, the user will select a ‘category’ for each item they create in that Collection. I then want to create static pages with Collection Lists that then show items filtered based on the Option field the user has chosen.

For example, if I have a Collection called ‘Driving’ with Options for ‘Ferrari’, ‘Lamborghini’ and ‘Porsche’ and the user chooses ‘Ferrari’, I then want to be able to create a static page with a Collection List showing only those items that are Ferrari-related.

It seems like a no-brainer feature I should be able to filter by, surely?

So it looks like I have to use Reference fields instead?

Then my question is - How do I stop these Reference items from being created as pages or found in search engines?

I understand I need to create a Reference Collection and populate it so data can be pulled to then be filtered by, but how do I stop the References being seen as content?

For example while I’m setting up, I don’t want to create a slug because this is simply a reference and not an actual page containing content!

Anyone? :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve got lots of items under my ‘Categories’ Collection now, but I don’t want Google finding all these!
