I can't filter my collection based on a reference

Hi there!

I am currently working on a client’s site and they want to showcase where customers can find their product. On the Find Our Vodka page I want to sort my collection list based on location (San Diego vs. North County). When I go into Filters and select “Areas (Reference)” I am unable to select a Value. Here is a screen shot.

I know the answer is super simple, I just can’t seem to figure it out. Any help would be rad!

Yes, you cannot sort or filter a multi-reference collection list that is on a collection page since 2014.

There is a workaround using custom code but it is tricky to do.

Thanks for responding samliew! It was actually a single reference I was trying to sort. I tried playing with the site again today and now it works! ¯_(ツ)_/¯ oh wells! ha!
