CMS / Pricing Limit

Hello, all. Webflow is limiting my ability to add CMS items telling me that I have reached my CMS limit based on my “Free” plan. But they are charging me nearly $70/mo and I have certainly not reached my limit.

I have used 13 of my 20 CMS collections and only have a few items in each collection as samples.

My church is expecting a site and now that all the design work is finished and I am filling out the content, it’s telling me I have reached my Free plan limit.

This is exasperating. I know God will provide funds for me to upgrade if that’s what I need to do, however, I am certain I have not reached my limit and am thoroughly confused.

I like Webflow, but their support system makes me feel like they have something to hide because you can never get hold of anyone.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks!

Hi Timothy, it’s impossible to guess without full access to your site.
Webflow support is quite good, but yes they’re extremely overtasked, and some departments more than others. It can take a few days for some departments to respond.

Things to check-

  • Are you certain you’re working on the correct, hosted site, and not in an unhosted template or clone that is on a “Free” plan?
  • $70/mo is high, might be a workspace plan plus one hosted site plan? I’d check and make sure your setup is right and that you’re paying for the right things. You generally don’t need a workspace plan unless you’re building multiple sites, or doing exports.
  • If you’re sure everything’s setup correctly plan-wide, try disabling your browser extensions and clearing your cache to make sure you don’t have interference preventing the designer from operating normally.

Hello, Memetican.

Thank you so much for getting back to me! You are right, the site I am building was still on the free plan. That is my bad for not understanding the plans well enough.

I thought the plan I was on covered whatever site I built. I didn’t realize I had to buy a new plan for every site. Not happy about that, but at least now I understand the issue.

My only solution is to transfer my plan from my one site over to this new one. I am concerned I will lose all of my CMS data and connections if I do, but I have no alternative at this time.

Regarding support, I finally figured out where to get help. Dumb on my part for not remembering where to find it. Sef did help me understand things better.

Once again, thank you so much for responding!!!
