Client Website Transfer

Hello!

I have a client that wants to host their site on their own godaddy hosting account. Is it possible for me to export the current site (with CMS) and give them access somehow? Or would the client need to have a webflow site to work in general?

Webflow does not export CMS UI’s, data or functionality as part of the code export.

The closest you could get is Udesly JAMstack, which would export to Github + Netlify using 11ty as the engine for the CMS. The end result is fast and cheap, but crude and difficult to update. Really not suitable for sites that get updated more than once a year.

Updates deployment on Udesly JAMstack configuration is difficult. If it were a road, it has quite a few large potholes and often the bridge is out… so budget an extra hour for that.

There’s no easy path that I’m aware of to GoDaddy hosting. Udesly does also have a WordPress export capability, but I’d hear similar dissatisfactions in the forums from other designers in regards to the tradeoffs and update challenges.
