Characters with accent load fine in the designer but don't load on published page

Hello Webflow Community,

I’ve encountered an issue with my website that I hope to get some insights on. In the Webflow designer, the font ‘Canela Trail’ displays perfectly, including all accented characters like “é” and “è.”

However, upon publishing the site, these specific characters do not render as they should; they appear as if they’re defaulting to another font. This discrepancy only occurs on the live site and is not reflected in the Webflow designer, where everything looks as expected.

The problem is isolated to the accented characters “é” and “è” on the live site, which is perplexing.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any suggestions on what could be causing this discrepancy between the designer and the published site, specifically with accented characters? I appreciate any guidance or tips you could provide.

Here’s what I’ve checked so far:

  1. The full character set is included in the font file (confirmed in the designer).
  2. UTF-8 encoding is set properly in the HTML.

Thank you for your help!

I am having the same problem. I noticed that the bug only occurs with pasted text. Rewriting the text from the editor solves the issue but it’s very annoying…
