Changing A record probelm

Hi everyone, my client (in Mexico) tells me that he can’t delete the existing A records, he can only set them to “inactive” and add the new Webflow A record. This means that I can’t direct the A records to the new website I’ve built for him.

This is the message he receives when trying to delete it at his domain register (“Telmex”):
“This record is used by the system and can not be deleted or modified.
In any case, if you really need to make any changes, you can deactivate this record and create a custom alternative record.”

Has anyone bumped into this kind of situation?

That’s new. I recommend changing to a different more reputable registrar like Google Domains or Cloudflare.
