Change domain name from one webflow site to another

Hello!

A year or so ago I built a site in webflow and had a custom domain (www.example.com). I have now built a newer, better site that I would like that domain to direct to.

Is there a simple way to make this switch? Or do I need to go through the whole processes of unlinking the site and the address and linking it to the new site?

Hi @jclarothe That is a good question.

To transfer a domain, please follow the below instructions:

  1. Cancel your hosting on your old site
    http://help.webflow.com/faq/how-to-cancel-downgrade-your-webflow-hosting-subscription

  2. Add a hosting subscription to your new site

  3. Add your domains into the new site

  4. if your last paid hosting invoice was within a month, send an email to support@webflow.com for a refund or credit
