Cannot add new section below existing content, and Form elements (Heading, Form Block) are not visible on the canvas

Hello Webflow Community,

I’m following along in the Webflow 101 series and I’m in the Site build: Form
But I am running into two major issues with my project structure and element visibility, and I would appreciate some help.

  1. :prohibited: Issue 1: Unable to Add New Sections
Problem: I cannot see any margin or empty space below my existing content (specifically, below the logo/header area) to naturally drop a new Section element.

Attempted Solution (Partial Success): When I manually drag and drop a Section element from the ‘Add Elements’ menu and place it in the Navigator (structure panel), the Section is added. I was able to proceed with the logo/header content by adding elements this way.

Need: I need to be able to see the available space to add elements on the canvas easily.

  1. :brick: Issue 2: Form Elements Not Visible
Problem: I am trying to build a form in a new section, but the elements I add are not showing up on the design canvas/preview, even though they are visible in the Navigator.

Elements Added (In order):

I added a Form Block inside the new Section.

I then tried to add a Heading element inside the Form Block.

Result: After adding these elements, nothing appears on the screen. This makes styling and layout impossible.

I didn’t touch anything, which means settings such as overflow is not hidden.

Could someone please check my project and advise on how to resolve these visibility and spacing issues?

Thank you.

Yes for inserting elements, your navigator is where you’ll do 90% of your work. The job of the canvas is primarily as a preview, with some editing, selection and rearrangement controls.

I didn’t see any forms, you might want to video what you’re doing so the community can give you feedback. Loom is great for that.
