When saving custom code at the site level in the header, it will kill the custom code from the body tag :( am I the only one experiencing it ?

Are you talking about the custom code page in the site settings? If so I just tried and unfortunately I’m not able to reproduce the issue on my end.
Are you finding the same behavior if you try in an incognito window? It’s possible an extension is causing the issue.
Personally I use the Finsweet Chrome extension that moves these code input fields into the Designer (among some other useful features — especially if you use Client First) and find that these are much more useable than needing to jump into the site settings:

Interesting, thank you @mikeyevin . I will try the finsweet within the designer. The issue i was facing is one the page settings from the dashboard, sometimes it works sometimes it simply deletes all the code from one or the other custom code section.
