hi guys, is there any way I can disable auto saving feature, as when i edit 4-5k words of blog article in CMS, it starts lagging.

Auto-saving is indeed a built-in feature when working with Collection items in Webflow CMS and cannot be disabled. To optimize your site’s performance while working with Collections, you can:

  • Clean up unused styles in the Style Manager panel
  • Remove unused assets from the Assets panel
  • Minimize the number of fields in your Collections
  • Use smaller image sizes when possible
  • Break larger Collections into smaller, more manageable ones
  • Consider using pagination for Collection Lists

If you’re on a computer or internet connection that’s struggling with autosave, I’d edit outside of Webflow and paste it in- Google Docs is great for article writing because the supported element set is very similar.

If this is a large client project, and you’re trying to solve the problem for them, you might consider externalizing the content admin. I write in Notion and have it sync into the CMS.

Thanks @memetican … I just want to know if there is any way I can turn off this autosave feature….so, there is no solution but to format externally, then paste inside Webflow CMS……. :slight_smile:
