What would you recommend is the best way to add a “Donate” button that links to a paypal account? It would need to be responsive and, unfortunately, the one that PayPal creates in HTML is too tiny! I created an image button too, but it’s not responsive.
I’d greatly appreciate your input!!!
You could just add a webflow button and add the paypal link to that I suppose? I’ve used the paypal one myself before and it was a decent size. Is there anything in the code you could change? Or set the size on paypal’s end?
Design your own button and add it to the asset manager. then when setting up your button in paypal select the button URL - on the button in the asset is a cog - press that. Press the arrow in the popup which will take you to the URL for that image.
Paste your image URL in the paypal setup
Hi there, I hope you got your donation integration up and running in the end.
Since the time of the original post, there has been loads of small SaaS tools popping up to help Webflow developers. Payment integrations have been popular too.
Recently, I took on a charity client and they needed this feature. I decided to go with DonorBox as they have an easy to use solution and are customizable. This integration caters for Webflow and also other platforms such as SquareSpace, Wix and WordPress.
It’s completely free to start and they give you the choice to use a form, button or even a popup. Good UI/UX is essential for charities that need to raise funds for various campaigns. Therefore, its imperative to have the donation button(s) in strategeic places on the site.
you can easily add Paypal too, see this article:
The main way to attract and retain users is to have an optimized hero section, thankfully i was able to use DonorBox’s popup integration to do this.
