Hello, I’d like to do a website with Webflow in several languages, with buttons in the header part to switch between languages.
I searched related posts on the Webflow forum but didn’t find any detailed tutorial or clear recommendations, except for using paid third part tools like https://localizejs.com/ or https://www.bablic.com/.
I am thinking about duplicating all my website pages in folders ‘en’, ‘fr’, ‘de’, ‘jp’, etc and translate each page duplicate manually. Is it the best solution?
I know that it is then possible to use some scripts to detect the user localization and select the appropriate language automatically.
Then what are the best practices for SEO to manage Hreflang tag, duplicate pages and XML sitemap? Do you have any recommendations or examples?
I actually think the best way to do this might be to finish the site completely and then duplicate the entire site and edit the language. Then host each on a subdomain like japanese.domain.com then put links in the header of each and obviously disable the button for the current one and mark it active. The only issue I see is updating each one individually, but then again you’d need to do that regardless.
