Howdy y’all, I made a post yesterday after signing up on the Forums but didn’t see there was an introduction thread!
So anyway, my name is Josh, I’m from Houston, TX, working at a small creative agency down here by NASA. I’m somewhat new to the web development world, having built a couple tiny Wordpress sites before coming onboard here back in April. Since starting my new job I’ve done a site in WP, as well as a single-page in Wix. During that second project was when my higher-ups and I started digging into this “new” platform called Webflow.
I’d heard the name before but never did too much research. However, with a new contract involving a pretty hefty web redesign planned, we figured Webflow would be the way to go! All of this to say, I’ve never actually used the platform before (as I’m truthfully a graphic designer / animator) so I figured as I begin working through this contract, signing up and getting involved here in the Forums would be a pretty smart idea!
I think that about sums it up. Graphic designer-turned-web dev excited to join the community and make some exciting projects with Webflow (and y’all’s help )!

We believe that real-time 3D / WebGL allow us creating interactive and immersive digital experiences and give life to websites! Unfortunately, it’s still quite complicated to masterize from scratch, so we’re building a no-code platform to create and embed cool interactive stuff.

I’m Laura, a graphic designer based in Paris/London. I’ve discovered Webflow as I was searching for a platform to help me with web programming and finding this platform and its community is mind blowing me.

Discovered Webflow in 2017 but only started to work with it 1 year ago with the help of the amazing tutorials from @PixelGeek.
So far I designed and delivered two static one page website to small companies that were completely made on Webflow. Now I’m starting (and struggling) to work on my first e-commerce project.
I’m KP, a no-code maker from Atlanta teaching myself new skills and build fun things on the web. Originally from a non-technical background, I used to struggle a lot to bring my ideas to reality until last November when I discovered the incredible power of no-code tools and never looked back. My 1st stint with Webflow was Feb/March and just love the product and the community on Twitter. I frequently tweet about Webflow and how it can help people who want to create. Anyway, new to the forum here so hello to y’all. I am looking forward to learning new fun things with you.

My name is Charbel, I’m a Ux/Ui from Beirut, Lebanon. I don’t recall how I was introduced to Webflow, but it felt like Christmas ever since I started using it. I had very little idea about how code works, but analyzing exported projects, and researching custom codes to make some features work made me a more complete web designer ^^
Kudos to the Webflow team for an amazing product, and all the cool updates/integrations that keep coming. And cheers to the amazing, helpful and lovely Webflow community
I’m hoping to prototype a menu navigation system. The webflow interface is somewhat intuitive but not completely. For example, I’m trying to build a left side menu navigation system and for the life of me I can’t find where you add a sub-menu link. Where in the world is this located? Such a simple thing and yet it’s not found easily.
I found a way to add link to the menu but how do I get this changed to sub-menu link? I’m reading the Custom dropdown menu | Webflow University post but its written in general terms which don’t make sense. I can’t imagine how anyone can figure out basic things when there aren’t any detailed instructions.
For example, " Add a second div block inside the dropdown wrapper — you’ll do this in the **[navigator] since the dropdown wrapper has no height on the [canvas]" makes no sense as once you click on “navigator” icon it shows you what’s there but no way to add div block which is contained in elements section. Doesn’t make sense.
You shouldn’t write in a tutorial “do this” and then not tell the user WHERE to find the ADD THIS part of it. Whether it’s a left mouse click or in some menu item you need to define exactly where it is so the user can find it. I guess no one is testing these tutorials after you write them.
