Weglot Language Toggle - Color Animation when switching between two pages

Im trying to use a Weglot language toggle to switch between my German and English home pages. I want the DE (EN) to be in yellow, when im on the respective German (English) home page. It works on the English one, but I can’t seem to figure out why, when Im on the German home page, the EN is yellow, until I click the DE, which runs the animation once, then DE is yellow instead of EN.

Can someone help me, I think I need to change sth about the animation?
