Webflow Wishlist concerns

It looks like the Webflow Wishlist facility has had limitations imposed on it for a few months now, where new ideas are not public (only viewable by staff) – which defeats the objective.

I assume this may be related to the spam attacks it received last year. Finding a solution that does not impede the WF community from using it would be good.

It’s unfortunate, but I think the only reasonable way would be to tie the authentication to paid Webflow workspaces.

This way anyone can view but posting and comments can only be performed by paying Webflow users. That might be the only effective way to block spammers, which was making it equally unusable.

I agree; that’s probably the simplest short-term solution.

Just to share, the Webflow Wishlist is not being shutdown.

Correct

I had to make a couple modifications to the workflows on how wishlist items get posted as a result of the rising amount of bot activity spamming the wishlist. We are working on solving for the spam as well as exploring a better way to manage and elevate the wishlist.

What y’all share in the wishlist is absolutely valuable and influential on how we craft our product roadmap. I recently joined Webflow last summer and one of my focuses in product strategy is finding a better workflow for the wishlist so the items surfaced in the wishlist are elevated in a more technical way.
