Webflow Locale Switcher Doesn't work on Homepage

Hi all,

I just added the localization feature to a client’s website. Everything works fine except the homepage. The locale switcher works fine on all pages but not on the homepage. It keeps jumping back to the main language page.

Any ideas?

Hi! Currently trying to solve the same exact issue! Have you found out why this is happening?

@Yakiin Hi Yakiin, did you manage to solve it?

I’m having the same issue.

Localization works fine on all sites except Home.

If you are using pro and have auto-routing enabled, try disabling it and republish, see if that changes things. It will help you narrow down the cause.

Just in case this helps someone else, the advice from @memetican worked for me :+1:
The issue is still there.

In my case, I wasn’t using URL routing, so instead I toggled the SEO setting:

  1. disabled “Automatically generate hreflang tags for your pages”
  2. published the site
  3. then enabled it again and republished

After that, the home page started translating correctly when the locale switcher was triggered.
