Using "placeholder state" placeholder text won't change color

I know the placeholder state is meant to allow for the styling of placeholder text in a form field. I have seen the other posts about that.
I was able to change the font this way. However, when I try to change the color nothing happens, as you can see below. Can anyone see if I am missing anything?

Okay I double clicked something and it changed. I don’t really know what happened.

click on the button correctly and then try again it will help or otherwise you haven’t chosen the colour .
thank you,

That ended up working. I don’t know what happened to fix it. It persisted after I reloaded webflow, then I tried again for the billionth time and it just worked one time. idk
I appreciate you guys responding, though!

I had this same problem as well. I correctly changed all the different states, but the color wasn’t changing. I tried changing the hex code by one digit, hitting enter, then changing back, hit enter again and that worked. Some bugs on this one @webflow
