Updated my new website with the same URL, SEO tips?

Hey all,

Quick question. I recently rebranded my website for the better (both designed on Webflow). We went live last night and now I’m wondering what to do with the old website, specifically around SEO.

I’d like to have Google recognize my new website since the wording is completely different and updated.

Any recommendations on how to get that process started? Before I unselected anything SEO related on my old site, I wanted to ask the community!

Also, any tips for updating this as well in Google Analytics would be very helpful

Thanks!

If you’ve replaced the old site, it’s no longer relevant at all regarding SEO.
Focus all of your attention on how you want the new site to be SEO’d, your page titles, url slugs, descriptions, H1’s etc.

Try to use the same overall URL structure, or setup redirects where needed from where your old site content was, to where it is now.

The rest is just submitting it to Google Search Console, and waiting, while you work on backlinks. Social shares, forum posts, links from directory sites, etc.
