I’m coming to the end of building this site for my client and I’m going through some training on how to use the CMS and fill in content.
That was until we encountered a slight issue, as shown in the image, when my client adds or copies and pastes an unordered or ordered list from a Word document or an old website. They are unable to see the text; you can’t even highlight it to see it.
Ive also double checked that the text wasn’t colour white in the designer or from the original text
A very bad idea mentioned several times on forum. NEVER EVER copy paste from any text editor especially from Word. Such text have some encoding information that always cause troubles.
When you copy text you have to ALWAYS CONVERT TO PLAIN TEXT
Try this and I believe you will be fine
This is not related only to WF this is a general rule
if they’re using Windows, they can CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste as plaintext, and then reformat it as a list.
copy-paste from Google Docs is usually much cleaner HTML and generally works much better here
However
The Legacy editor is end of life. Although client seats haven’t been rolled out yet, it would probably make more sense to bite the bullet and purchase a limited 1/2 price seat so you can teach your client Build mode.
My guess is that the designer is much more resilient and can properly sanitize mucky paste data.
