Unable to set Nav Link to jump to section

This is sort of a two part problem that I simply can’t figure out. The goal is to set a Nav Link to jump to a specific section on the home page. I have an “About” section on the home page that I want the nav link to jump to. I can do this by specifying the Type and Section in the Nav Link Settings. But this only works when you are actually on the home page. It does not function when you are on any other pages of the site. This is problem 1.

Problem two has to do with linking buttons to sections on other pages. I’ve specified the sections, but when I use the “/about#sectionname” (in this case /Books#BookName), the link simply doesn’t work properly. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’ve tried adding the full URL, but it goes to the 404 page. (Each book on the home page has a “Learn More” button that I want to jump to the corresponding section on the Books page)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is my site Read-Only: Webflow - LL Kaplan

(how to share your site Read-Only link)

Did I not post this in the proper category?

This link: ll-kaplan.webflow.io/#About will take you to the about section on your home-page, from any page.

Regarding your second question, you’d format it like this: ll-kaplan.webflow.io/books/#Slowburn

I left out “https://” from the links so that you can see the actual link text.

Thanks a lot, jackwabbit! Curious though: my page and link are both “Books” with an uppercase “B”. Your sample has it lowercase and it works but I have no idea why. When I make it “/Books/#Slowburn”, I get a 404 error. Weird.

No problem!

Hm, yeah I don’t know the technical specifics but page links get reformatted to lowercase. If you go to the page settings and check the “slug” you’ll see that it’s lowercase.
